Peach restarts international flights after seven months’ suspension

After seven months’ suspension, which began March 20th, Peach Aviation is restarting its international network, reconnecting Japan and Taiwan as the bridge to Asia.

The restart began yesterday with Osaka (Kansai) – Taipei (Taoyuan) and a second route starting today: Tokyo (Haneda/Narita) – Taipei (Taoyuan). The restart of the ‘bridge’ supports business passenger and student travel.

The low cost carrier is also providing airport pickups for customers arriving in Taipei/Osaka. It has moved its boarding terminal at Narita Airport from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1.

Due to restrictions on using public transportation on arrival, Peach is partnering with a transport company to providing service to Taipei city.

From December 24, Peach will start operating new routes from Chubu Airport, Sapporo (New-Chitose)/Sendai – Nagoya (Chubu) making Chubu Airport its new hub.

Peach states that it ‘thoroughly implements infection countermeasures on board its aircraft and at airports, providing safe and secure air travel for those who need to travel between Japan and Taiwan.’

Peach supports ‘economic revitalisation’ connectivity between Japan and Taiwan under the theme of ‘Bridging your Sky’.

The airline aims to become the leading LCC in Asia, by expanding mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Kansai.

Peach currently services 26 domestic and 17 international routes with 32 aircraft from its hubs: New-Chitose Airport, Sendai Airport, Narita Airport, Fukuoka Airport and Naha Airport in addition to Kansai Airport.

Information on restrictions to/from Taiwan are on the Peach website: https://www.flypeach.com/en/mp/others/information_crossborder?_ga
